Availa Bank Announces New Vice President Loan Officer
Tate Handsaker (NMLS #1856175) Joins the Nevada Branch
Nevada, Iowa (August 29, 2022) – Availa Bank is proud to announce the hiring of Tate Handsaker as the new Vice President Loan Officer at the Nevada branch.
Tate came to the bank in March 2022 with several years of experience as a Credit Analyst and Loan Officer at various financial institutions. As the Vice President Loan Officer at Availa Bank, Tate is responsible for developing and maintaining the bank’s agricultural and commercial lending portfolios.
Tate was born and raised in Nevada, graduating from Nevada High School in 2013. He then completed his bachelor’s degree at Central College in 2017, completed Ag Credit School in 2020, attended Iowa Bankers Law of Lending, and completed the City of Nevada Leadership program in 2021.
Tate is the son of Robbie and Darla Handsaker. His siblings are Taylor Fondell, Mitch Fondell, and Tyson Handsaker.

He brings solid overall banking knowledge while focusing on agricultural/commercial lending in his current role.
